Muskoka Wharf (Daily)Transient Slip Agreement Request

Please note the gas bar is not open after the Labour Day weekend in September

There are 10 slips available for daily stays up to 7 days.  Slips can accomodate a watercraft up to 22 feet long, and 8 feet wide. 

The fee is $31 plus HST per day.

Please enter your contact and vessel information as well as your desired dates below to request a daily slip at the Marina. 

Slip Requests are preferred to be received at least 24 hours in advance of arrival. Any unreserved spots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Note: This form is a request and not a guarantee of a slip until payment is received. You will be contacted by telephone or your email to confirm details and arrange payment. Once payment is received this form becomes your slip agreement.

Important information 

During the season, reservations are preferred to be received at least 24 hours in advance of arrival. Unreserved spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Warranty 

The applicant warrants that the information provided in this form to the Town of Gravenhurst is true and acknowledges that the Town will rely on this information for the purposes of assigning boat slips and other associated purposes. 

Insurance  

The applicant represents and warrants that an insurance policy or policies are currently in force which shall continue in force throughout the term of the rental period in connection with the ownership/rental and operation of the described vessel having limits of not less than $2,000,000 for Third Party Liability/Protection and Indemnity including bodily injury or death to any number of persons in any one accident, property damage, wreck removal and sudden and accidental pollution. Proof of insurance is required.

Collection of Personal Information 

Personal information is being collected under authority of the Municipal Act 2001, c. 25, and will be used for the purposes of managing your account/memberships and any transactions that you make (e.g. registrations and bookings), communicating with you regarding these matters, and administering and managing town run programs and facilities. For questions regarding the collection, use or disclosure of this personal information, please contact the Town’s FOI and Privacy Coordinator at 705-687-3412. Rules and Regulations

The Town reserves the right to:

  1. Amend the Rules and Regulations with or without notice.
  2. To immediately terminate a stay and/or issue a trespass notice, if the Renter or their agents, invitees, crew, family members, or guests fail to comply with the Rules and Regulations or if they conduct themselves in a manner which interferes with other’s quiet use or enjoyment of the Premises.
  3. Conduct periodic safety inspections by the Town’s employees, and, in addition to the foregoing, a Vessel may be boarded by Town employees if the Town, in its sole determination thinks an emergency exists.
  4. All Renters and visitors who enter the Marina or the Premises do so solely at their own risk and shall comply with all applicable federal, provincial laws and Town By-laws.
  5. The Town is not responsible for the loss or damage to;
  • any Vessel or
  • any property stored on a Vessel within the Marina or which may be located within the Premises.
  1. The slip holder shall not share the gate code provided for the stay.
  2. All Vessels must be removed from the Bay and from the premises by11 am of the end date of the stay. If the stay is for one day, the vessel can remain until 8:00 p.m.
  3. No person within Muskoka Bay shall:
  4. Operate a Vessel in excess of 5 km/h. The slip holder acknowledges that the Marina is a “No Wake Zone”.
  5. Moor a Vessel other than in accordance with the terms set out.
  6. Transfer or assign a slip.
  7. Occupy a Slip prior to or following the dates specified on the Transient Slip Agreement.
  8. Abandon a Vessel.
  9. Park or stand any motor vehicle contrary to any sign.
  10. Permit any dog, cat, or other animal to be within the Premises, unless led on a leash which is not to exceed 2-meters in length.
  11. Permit any animal to deposit excrement within the Premises unless such excrement is immediately removed and properly disposed of.
  12. Cause or permit the discharge of any trash, litter, sewage, fuel, or other pollutant into the Marina. All recyclable materials shall be placed in the appropriate container.
  13. Operate a bilge pump while in the Marina.
  14. Fuel a Vessel at a place other than the designated dock and then only in accordance with Fuel Handling Act.
  15. Swim, bathe, or fish within the Marina.
  16. Cause or permit an auxiliary Vessel, while in the Marina, to be moored to the Vessel in a way that:
  17. hinders the passage of other Vessels
  18. hinders persons using the dock; or
  19. protrudes into or over Navigable Water.
  20. Cause or permit supplies, accessories, garbage, recycling or other materials or property to be stored on a dock, except while actively engaged in loading/unloading same to or from a Vessel or moving Garbage or recycling to its proper container.
  21. Cause or permit any type of hazard to enter the Marina or be placed on any dock.
  22. Cause or permit any type of watercraft lift to be attached to the dock.
  23. Cause or permit a fender to be hung in such a way that fails to prevent damage to neighbouring Vessels or cause or permit a fender to be attached to any Town property, except in a manner approved by Town staff.
  24. Cause or permit the gate which separates the Marina from the Premises to be open except when a Renter, or their agents, invitees, crew, family members, or guests are passing through the said gate.

The slip holder acknowledges having read and understood the Rules and Regulations.
